i put together a pew pew deck as well for funsies (mainly cause it is lion's worst matchup and i need to playtest)

I found that thunder shugenjas work amazingly well with range attacks (naval + thunder spells+ girl with built in archery range), maybe too combo-ey but lack of naval on mantis scouts could be a deal breaker.

also naval+ ambush+ no hiding place = lol.

other note: hirumi rocks, unmei is pretty scary as a 6g for 5F naval shugenja samurai with range attack. Singh on the other hand, i don't really like... he's got the worst attachment-less kill action in the game imo, expensive for a mantis economy that is not so great outside of KL.

I think that you will be needing 3x Siege Volleys for follow ups in attacks that don't kill people, and just because it's a ranged 4 attack.

As far as people like Nakanu techs I would add Gold and Steel in every such deck. It's also a great action to boot.

I like the list a lot, and I would suggest trying to squeeze a couple of Village guardians for the hand refill.
