This card was such a huge staple for my CE sohei deck. I wonder if it can work in Ivory even with its 6 gold cost.

I'm thinking the same thing. I kind of wish they had changed it to be 4g, makes 3g and gives you 2g (or 3g) towards an attachment.
Still though, the only turn it's a dead card is turn one, and it is SO efficient the rest of the game. And because the game got slowed down by roughly 1-1.5 turns at least, I think it's still a good buy.

Yeah, I'm going to try goldfishing a bit to see if it can work

Ugh, having secluded in a deck with jade pearl is wildly inconsistent. So what's better for an attachment deck? Having split gold, deck thinning and holding meta, or a free 2 gold for attachments every turn?

Speaking from last arc, 2 gold attachments, if that. Most attachments are low gold at the moment. Thinking your deck is great, but saving gold is better.
... From an untested view point...
This shows me I should stop making decks until the previews are over though :/

Secluded seems too inconsistent for the marginal boost in economy.

I feel like it works best in decks focused on the clan holdings and 2for2 utility holdings (a few of which help with attachments) instead of the 444 build.
If you see a single clan holding and a 2for2 turn one, that nets you secluded outpost turn 2 with another 3gold to spend on another holding, or a cheap body. It's not great by any means, but it's something.
That being said, we only have about 2/3rds of the set previewed, we are still holding off on some remaining cards. And like Corey, I'm basing all of this on no actual playtesting (which I will be doing tons of once egg rolls out with the complete set)

Re: Secluded Outpost
I tried with a couple variations on holdings. The problem is that too often you have to pitch secluded if you see it turn one, leaving you then with a sub-optimal turn 2. It causes huge variations in gold going into turn 3. You can get an effective 16g(factoring in the weapon buy but with a really stunted 12g for real purchases) to an effective 22g(18 real gold). Using a 444 heavy scheme you should always hit 16g-20g but with more utility.
