Reprisal (Retribution)
Ivory's version of Ret. It'll be harder to use due to the smaller size of personalities and attachments. I doubt It will make it into my spider decks.

Re: Reprisal (Retribution)
Real problem is you have to defend now to utilize it. No more stay at home and ret back. Also you can't use it offensively... it won't allow someone in the lead to stay in the lead and auto win games because of it against lower honor clans. I think it might have a slot in slower military (big unit or low honor) but other than that, not a clue if it will be worth while.
Let's look at the math on it...
Running a cheap 2 force follower (the expendable ashigaru for instance + a 4 force samurai) can get you into range for reprisal. 3 force samurai get there with sensei's.
I think the main changes are to fix balance issues (if those existed) with retribution, other than that not much of a change.

Its defending OR opposed personality, so you can defend at another province and reprise. The opposed portion is to prevent the card from being used as unopposed force pump.

Correct, just saying it forces you to place the body onto the field of battle. It is interesting in that if you are in a defensive battle you can use it as a force pump, win the battle then go back for a province. Makes big defenses a little more interesting? It's also kind of weird in that it actually doesn't force pump the follower, it force pumps the personality... Means it works no matter what type of attachment you have.
Suppose there is always the danger of a cavalry unit coming riding through and sneaking or something of that nature.
