Planning ahead (short term) Empty Planning ahead (short term)

I was pretty disappointed about both cancellations this week since i was actually pretty excited to play. Kotei season is upon us. I would like to avoid further cancellations, especially every week, for weeks on end, like this past fall (shout out to Corey for showing up to play with me every week!).  At the very least  lets try and get a bit more organized. Are we meeting up next week? When is the tournament being rescheduled to, if at all (tournaments are good, we need to do more of them to keep people interested)?

What are the Plans for the Atlanta kotei? Are people actually interested in playing Arc?

What are the plans for the TN kotei? If people are actually going to show up to test i would like to attend, but i would need to know soon since i would have to request the time off.

I feel pretty out of touch since i don't rpg with you guys and have no clue what is going on...but meeting up for beers at Six Ten would solve that problem... I'll be there tomorrow night if any of you guys would like to join me again. They just got a bunch of new porters in...

I think Corey was the only one interested in Atlanta. I have zero interest in playing arc.

I've been playtesting decks on my own time as best I can, and I have a lion ancestor deck that I'm pretty happy with. But I'll be honest, with my schedule finding time to play is tough. I'm just worn out and working on decks feels like a second job. Add to that all the extra driving for what would amount to getting one game in is just not cost effective when I'm looking at a very big expensive move in the next few months.

SC hasn't announced their format yet (or if they have, I haven't seen it posted anywhere). While I love robin and support his group, if it conflicts with TN or if it's arc/draft I'm not going to be going. I will go to TN come hell or high water because it's Donnie's farewell, and it appears that it will be strict format. After TN, my mind flips directly to rotating out the ivory 1 SH's and Base set Sensei and starts working on Ivory 2/20 Festivals arc.

Furthermore, I know that I don't serve our playgroup in the same capacity as I used to. I know that when I was unemployed and had all the time in the world, I made this stuff my life. But not only has working changed that, my new job schedule is just incredibly demanding of me. I have to allocate 13 hours a day to my job, 5 days a week one week, and then a 6th day every other week. So yeah, I can't be the rah-rah cheerleader that I once was, drumming up support and being a face for the team. I do what I can, to help organize events that we go to (I don't think anyone will argue with the meticulous planning that I do that ensures that our trips that we go on together go without a hitch, are low-pressure, and that cost never comes up as an issue). I have also devoted quite a bit of time (and roughly $100 a year, with about $150.00 this year for startup costs) to getting our web presence figured out. I maintain this site, pay for the hosting and the lack of ads, as well as our event site, the merchant services that allows for the pre-reg on our our event site, as well as the running of the social media presence for the group. The only thing I don't do is create the AEG posts for our events and the Facebook updates as those *should* come from the TO for solidarity.

I know it seems that I'm distant, but I can assure everyone that our group means the world to me, and I do what I can to support it in ways that I can.

Just double checked and SC is in may, so its probably 20f arc. I'm probably good to attend, but its still over 4 months away. Not really worth planning for yet.

When are the GA and TN events? I can't find specific dates for the life of me.

2/21 and 3/7 are the dates. Atlanta is going to be arc though, not strict. I wouldnt be surprised if only 30 people turned out.
