stone of remembrance (are you serious?) StoneofRemembrance

so how many are we preordering? 40?

how does this work in a tourney? pack one at the start or do you get to replace it everytime you rip one up? thats one hell of an expensive kotei season... well if you plan ahead, you need a stack of every major tourney you plan on going to for the next 2, 3 years?

Once you use it, you don't replace it. The card is still "in your deck" but its technically destroyed as part of its own ruling. Also the card doesn't count as a card within your deck, thus you need 41 cards "Technically".

I'll be ordering a few, if for nothing else than to have 1 in case you get to the finals and to burn it in epic fashion to mess up your opponent. It's like a card that says "Once ever, destroy this card permanently, negate the destruction of a card."

this is MY plan jerk! NO STEALING!

Kidding aside, in playtesting, you obviously do not need to tear this card up. I would even go as far as to say that at local, small tourneys I wouldn't require you to tear it up.

For events, such as kotei's, winners choice, gencon, etc, you need as many copies of this card as you have rounds to play. So, usually 7 + 3 (top Cool or 4 (top 16) so 10-11 per event. So, if you are going to use this card, it is just increasing the cost of the major event by 50-55 dollars for you. This is expensive and not really realistic unless you have quite a lot of disposable income, but all proceeds go to charity and it actually isn't THAT much money.

in this case, it is really "disposable"

i don't mind spending money for a good cause or for a game i enjoy, i do want something to show for it lol. I guess i can super glue the pieces together after as a keepsake

if it is case (A) like pat said (one per event, since it is technically part of your deck at the start) then it isn't so bad, you figure 4-5 big events per year, at most 10-15, so 100 bucks on this thing for an arc for the sake of charity, not bad.

but if it is once per game like you suggest, case (B), then its 10 fold that number. no thanks
