If any set is going to be powerful it might as well be the DTP. If a standard expansion was on the same level it would be a nightmare trying to chase down this many good cards.

Paragons are viable now XD. This card is pretty amazing though.

Maidens are looking better and better.

It is just slightly annoying if Battle Maidens get Paragon because no one else gets Battle Maidens. I wouldn't care if it didn't also give them another subset of cards that only they could use.

The probability is that battlemaidens will just be a "flavor" keyword like every other keyword. DT figured out that cards for single themes suck, which is why all battle maidens will probably be paragon's and paragon's on their own good (lions and maidens), bad (spider) and neutral (Scorpion) will all see abilities that help all of them as a whole. The fact that this card is awesome for all paragon's is what makes the theme and cards like this good. I like that they were nice enough to make the card viable for all paragon's not just battle maidens.

The Sound of Thunder makes me leery of the idea that Battle Maiden won't get any cards on it's own. Granted that could just be a holdover from Celestial sneaking in...but there are enough other actions for Battle Maidens to use that I don't think they needed to print a EE Battle Maiden only card if they weren't going to carry on the support. If they do just nix the whole Battle Maiden only support then I see no reason why they shouldn't get Paragon as well since the two themes are very similar.

It's not like there needs to be even more incentive for the Unicorn to be called "Purple Lions" though...

I don't think you can really draw any conclusions about themes based on BtD. For instance, Crab has support for Heroes, Berserkers, Scouts and Commanders, even though 2 of those themes will not make it into the next arc. (i'd bet Heroes and zerkers bite the dust)

I tend to look at BtD as the last set designed for CE, while FL is the first set truly designed for EE.
