Re: Stick 'em with the pointy end.
I know the Dragon side of things. So I might be able to help some.
Why two Guidences?
Do you find your hand is too clogged with that many weapons? Or because you fear recursion?
Do you need 3 Rets to alter the tempo? Or could you do with 2? I suggest 3 near misses, as you have no recursions.
What does Hunger and the Warfans do for you? I know the Warfans give you back cards, and they are basically free... but they aren't doing much else. I have found you want your weapons to be doing things, rather then sitting there and being pretty.

Re: Stick 'em with the pointy end.
I like both guidances, and I don't necessarily care if one kicks out the other. If I go down to one I'll probably keep Ryoshun's, though I'm not sure what the other slot would be.
In the few games I've played I haven't found the number of weapons to be too many (in fact there have been some games where I don't draw enough >.>). If I went a little overboard, it's because I can't just buy back my stuff from the discard like some other kensai decks.
It seems like against military, I have to draw Ret. Games are an uphill struggle without it. And having two in-hand isn't a big deal, since a lot of the time I can Ret twice with the same unit (thanks to Brave New World), or I'll have two units big enough to go.
Warfans are there 'cuz I like to draw cards. You probably have a point though, I could test with Nightingale instead and see how that goes. Hunger is there because it's awesome, it costs 2G off the stronghold, and I figure more anti-send home meta couldn't hurt. So far I haven't regretted having it in.

I honestly have only seen half built Spider Kensia. We should see if we can play sometime soon so we can get a better feel for this deck. Looks good otherwise!

I hear readied steel is kinda important.

Depends. I thought it would be... until I saw my Stronghold. With the new Region from the Kotei pack... it becomes even more lack luster. Granted, it straightens a unit, and gives you two gold to the cost... but so many of our cards do this as is. It just becomes redundant.
Re: Stick 'em with the pointy end.
Yeah, I hear Readied Steel is good too, but what do I cut for it? Do I really need more anti-bow stuff? Again! is too good not to run, same with Serpent's Deception (in my mind anyway).
Some playtesting would be pretty helpful if Evolve ever starts to work for me.
