[FL] Strategy: Sundering Strike

Battle: Target an enemy Personality: You may target one of his attachments and pay Gold
equal to its Gold Cost minus four. If you did, destroy it. Move the Personality home.

Send home, attachment hate, not performed and potentially free? Amazing.
I was very seriously considering playing Monks at Gencon, but the number of potential 2 for 1 actions against attachments is getting ludicrous.
I'm dicking around with a Spider Paragon deck, and the idea of running 3 Routs, 3 Sundering Strikes and 3 Strength in Terror would be hilarious.

Gotta agree Rich. At this point, you'd have to be borderline masochistic to run any sort of attachment deck at gencon. I'm definitely shelving commanders... which makes me sad because although it was never really that amazing of a deck, it was starting to come into its own.
I'm thinking crab scouts, some variant of lion, and unicorn are going to be the only real military options at gencon.

Maybe think bout building Naked Unicorn tacticians? Mayhaps? Kind of considering it, or unicorn blitz, don't know which... Hmmmm

Its hard to say how the environment will pan out. On one side, Attachment based decks are getting a lot of solid support. On the the other, there is now a lot of really amazing attachment hate. Throw in all the actions that kill naked personalities and you have a really brutal military environment.
Military match-ups look like they will be a lot of fun post FL. The real question is if Military can handle the current era of Control decks.

I'm splitting the difference, ashigaru recruits + farmlands + grateful reward makes for a lot of free followers that tend to much up and waste quite a few of an opponents' actions at relatively little cost (or no cost for grateful reward) to me
