Re: gencon tidbits
I've been saying it... the Oni deck is SCARY. It's VERY VERY good. Good thing this and worlds are essentially the only tourney's it is legal for (a few jewel championships and winners choices as well, but it's still not that many events).

Damn it! I am no silly dragon. Thanks guys. Guy is playing a PS boosting umakai style crane deck. He shouldn't be in the match but that's another story. Wish me luck!

I also heard whispers of him being picked as "kolat" related. I thought chag's kid was going to be the new khan, can he both khan and shogun? and kolat? it's asking for a lot and I dislike the kolat part the most.

So you want the shogun, the shining symbol of a clan with the only living kami to be kolat? FUCK THAT... plus his father actively killed kolat...

THAT would be why it would be so awesome if he WAS Kolat. Think of the Kolat as a political party that is like "Republican? Democrat? FUCK THAT, we want Chuck Norris for president!". And this would be like having a guy who is currently the highest ranked Texas Ranger also be the Secretary of State of the U.S.

It's blasphemy, and I will not fall like the Shinjo had to such things. Lady Shinjo knows mercy and she showed them none, neither shall I.

Nah, I didn't bother with the grinders (RPG on Thursday, interview on Friday), and just did the Second Chance on Saturday (T8 after swiss and I lost in the first elim round; only T5 had byes in the Second Chance because there were more players). It was Dragon monks. It can military, but all of my wins were enlightenment.
Re: gencon tidbits
I was also in the 2nd chance and knew I was playing a chris but didntnt know if it was you or not. Unforunately I got knocked out of top 8 in a mirror match. Going 2nd in embassy on embassy sucks.

I'll buy you a Snickers bar tonight if you actually had to stop the match to go find a Bamboo Harvesters.

No, they used 5-2 makes the cut system. There was like, a top 24 I think? Then they played down to a top 16, then a top 8, so on so forth. Anthony actually won quite a lot to get to the "top 8".

Re: gencon tidbits
I was actually 7-2 at the point of top 8. 5-2 then trim to 16 then top 16 match. I did not have to go find my bamboo harvesters since I had already played a mirror match rd 2. My 3 lossess were to honor decks. I only lost provinces vs 2 opponents all day.

i know what they did, i meant i would expect top 8 to be at least best 2 of 3 in that big of a field. Reduces the mirror match lol-i-go-first-i-win luck aspect of the game.
