Strict environment
If we look at the strict environment it seems to favor weenie rush decks with cavalry escort. You don't get family dojo so its going to be followers with actions like expert archers, ashigaru spearmen, sparrow clan aide and others. The clans least affected by the strict format is crane (all but tametaka xp and xp2 are legal), Crab (lots of low cost guys with force and abilities around followers), and spider (cheap guys with abilities). Unicorn loses a lot of their guys and become even more blitz reliant now. With tacticl setback not in the environment games will accelerate by at least a turn. Spider will have to slow the clock by a turn to get their wins while crane will play even faster. Expect lots of bodies at battlefields a lot earlier.
Dishonor will be slower due to the loss of equisite silk works, jpi, kaichiko, and a host of other cards that make the current deck so fast. Honor will attempt to show up but unless they can find an answer for cavalry escort rush they will be too slow. Enlightenment should be non existent as there is not enough cards to do it in just two sets.
Meta for - Crane, Unicorn, and Lion
You will face - More spider then before
Playing for the bounty - Scorpion
Still looking at Mantis to see where they land in the strict environment. Will update once I have a grasp of their deck options.

Re: Strict environment
Ya, I think the original deck I posted for strict is going to be vastly different in the end. But, we will need to test it a bunch. Maybe I will need to try non dueling, or else trying the weapons with good actions.
