So here is my version, I want to get one more weapon in, and I'm not sure about the gold scheme. Need to do some fish bowls.

Don't think this is a deck where turtle shell fits. Maybe cut those two add a weapon and Ring of Water. The Possibility to start with RoW in some match ups will be great.

The deck auto loses to deliberations without turtle shell. Lion have enough force penalties to make it an issue also.

I might try a straight kensai build.

Is deliberations going to be prevalent enough? I only see defending against lion with a CoaaT in Hand with a Big Unit. I could see an arguement for having it and not . List is similar to what I had written up. Different gold scheme but by necessity.

I agree about turtles shell. It doesn't look like it at first, but Kensai are surprisingly fragile. The don't have access to redirect, and there isn't any weapon based negation yet, which is something big unit Kensai has always needed. Deliberations, sailors warning, todori sensei and Gidayu sensei will commonly be able to hit one of these duelists.

Meaning I agree with rich. You run it as a 2 of because you'll only need one in a given game, but those games it will drastically increase your chances of winning

Either that or two shield walls for the same reason. (shield wall can't be RAd so unholy strike can't instagib it)

Could go super unit and run ominous armor...  Just a thought

Ok, upon further consideration, I'm going to attempt to play spider kensai. I figure if I'm going to do non-dueling kensai it might as well be spider. Deck list going up tonight.

That said, its a good build. Some slight alterations form what I have going. But this gold scheme is a bit more flexible, since it looks like you dropped the 4 for 4 from it, in favor of some actions. I go back and forth on my love of Vengful
