Construted Tournament at The Dark Side -03/10/12-

Thanks for coming out to the Draft and Sealed Events we've held at The Dark Side to celebrate the release of Emperor Edition!
I'm pleased to announce that The Dark Side's first Constructed Tournament will be on Saturday, March 10th at Noon.

Cards from the following sets will be legal for play:

Forgotten Legacy
Before the Dawn
Second City
Emperor Edition

All dual-bugged/Emperor Edition-bugged promos and War of Honor cards are also legal.

Also, Kolat Edition proxies are still legal until 03/19/12. Honestly, I won't be a stickler about it being an "official Kolat Edition proxy," if you printed it out from another source, as long as it is a card from the Emperor Edition Set, I won't mind. However, I will check all decks for use of proxies to make sure all proxies are from Emperor Edition and not any other set. For those that are gearing up for the Orlando Kotei (which I hope is everyone! ), just remember that they probably WILL be sticklers about proxies being "official Kolat Edition proxies."

For those in the dark about the subject, Kolat Edition is a free PDF of all cards found in the Emperor Edition base set. Players are free to print off whatever cards they need to proxy from this PDF and use them in tournaments until 03/19/12. You may find the Kolat Edition PDF at www.l5r.com/KolatEdition.pdf.

Entry fee will be $10.00. Prizes include packs of Emperor Edition and a free Imperial Assembly Membership to the person who places the highest and currently doesn't have one!

Ok, so my local guys are interested in bumping the entry fee to $10.00 to increase prize support.

How about you all that will be travelling to our events? Is $10.00 too much to ask for a constructed tournament?

Honestly not the best time, the entire tampa crew is burned from Atlanta... might need a week break depending on what others say, I cannot attend this week at all.

Totally understandable. I do plan on scheduling another constructed before the Orlando Kotei for those who want to use it to get some good practice in.
