crab previews are up
New box gives a different kind of option for beserkers while still useful by any of their themes (minus yasuki). The personalities fill in holes for their decks and the strategies are good. Looks like crab isn't slowing down anytime soon. I would wager crab wins gencon this year.

Nikaru is good but it was hard to beat his non experienced version.
Overall the crab got some nice cards, Plus elephants!!!

Just what the Environment needed, more inability to perform actions- so, who's taking the Kyuden Hida deck to Gencon with Nikaru, the new recon which can be played off the KH scout followers, Onchi, Hotako, and the Mantis guy? "Oh, what's that you say- pass? I thought you might."

keep in mind that nikaru's negation isn't a reaction, it's a battle. That means, you have to proactively "activate" it to negate the next action. Which means you are just trading actions with your opponent. This is good if you can win with big beefy force alone (and bleed an action from your opponent), but because you didn't actually DO anything to your opponent, there will be times that his inexperienced version would be much much better. Furthermore, it puts a HUGE target on Nikaru XP's forehead as the target for the first action your opponent does. And the solution? Sneak attack into Nikaru's negation action? Is that really worth a sneak attack?
He's not bad, don't get me wrong. But I don't really think he's that special either. It's a busted ability that has a VERY heavy tempo loss.

Delicious crane tears.
If it makes you any better, the lion sword will essentially never see play at the 8g cost. I get the idea that they are a series of cards and thus balanced around similar statlines, but making the lion one 7g wouldn't have broken the bank methinks.

Good lord. That Yasuki action is one of the best dishonor actions ever, and Scorpion can't run it. Seriously though, my buddy is over the moon on these cards.
I think if that Elephant's action wasn't fear, in an environment where Know no Fear didn't exist, he'd be busted. As it is, he's one of the best non-uniques ever.
It's kinda nuts that the new stronghold isn't even the best one they have... Can't wait to see what Scorpion, Spider, and Dragon get.

Yeah I dont like the sword too much,
I didn't notice that it was an battle action. That does change the tempo dramatically. Still very good though.
Question, if you run both the non and exp versions do you have to overlay?
Kisadas brother the Kuni though if freaking awesome. have him attache search the stain and a unit will die if they engage.
