The Sensei is okay, depending on the card support they get for it. Losing a province strength is HUGE when you consider that you are also losing an honor (making crab a die roll for you... and trust me, crab wants to swing in first on those weaker provinces). A printed fear action on the box is pretty great though, one of the few stronghold/sensei combos that actually gives you a meaningful in-battle action.

The death priest previewed is a necessary cog in the engine, but by himself he's incredibly boring.

Suitengu's Embrace is a great card this arc, and will see play out of every shugenja deck early on. Bowing through attachments is VERY strong.

The sensei is really strong as it will almost always be a fear 4. The province str isn't too big a deal since everyone else will be down a province str also from their own senseis.

After seeing the sensei I think unicorn is easily a to p 3 military faction

I like the feel.  I've always been a fan of shang tsung style of akikazu, nice to see he is still around (considering by now he is pretty ancient).

Good battle action, just need the shugenja support for it.

The thing is, you dont need shugenja at all. You can run any deck out of it. You just need a dead guy in a discard pile, like uichi wattu.

Basically it comes down to how often you want to interact, in which case province strength will determine the cost of personality trades.   Overall though I suspect battle action > +1 province strength this early...

Especially if everyone else is trading a point of province strength to their senseis also.
